This summer Crikvenica gains a new event — the International Sparkling Wine Festival Crikvenica #JustSparkle, held on 10 and 11 July from 7 p.m. on Stjepan Radić Square in Crikvenica. Organised by the Crikvenica Tourist Board and the Town of Crikvenica in partnership with the Kvarner Wines association, it gives sparkling wines the chance to present themselves in their best light, alongside top gastronomy and the summer atmosphere of the Mediterranean.
The festival will showcase Croatian sparkling wines from Istria, Kvarner, Plešivica and Slavonia, as well as international labels — Champagne, Franciacorta, Prosecco and Cava.
The festival is conceived as an open wine & food party, and entry is free, with no table reservations; instead it is designed for free movement, tasting and mingling. Drink tokens are purchased at the festival, glasses are rented at the festival point, while food is paid for directly at the gastro stands.
Alongside top sparkling wines, visitors will be able to enjoy specially selected delicacies such as oysters, Kvarner shrimp, tartares, shrimp burgers and a whole range of refined finger-food bites tailored to sparkling wine.
