The festival of wines from original Croatian varieties will take place on 22-23 May 2026 in Kutina
At the Miva bistro in Zagreb, the 32nd edition of MoslaVina, the festival of original Croatian varieties in Kutina, was announced; it has become one of the more important wine events of continental Croatia. The festival brings together winemakers, wine experts and wine lovers with the aim of promoting indigenous varieties and wine culture.
The director of the Kutina Tourist Board, Ivana Grdić, presented the festival’s rich programme, while sommelier Josip Orišković presented the wines of Moslavina with an emphasis on Škrlet (the region’s signature indigenous white) and its diversity of stylistic interpretations. Škrlet is certainly part of Moslavina’s identity, and MoslaVina – which helps winemakers to continually improve production – deserves much of the credit for its revival and affirmation.
The festival also plays a significant role in branding Moslavina as a recognisable wine destination, and the offering of wine, local gastronomy – where there is still room for improvement – and increasingly attractive tourist amenities are the drivers of the destination’s development.
