The 13th PINK DAY Zagreb, held on Saturday 25 April 2026, gathered a host of exhibitors with more than 200 labels of rosé wine in total, as well as extra virgin olive oil, pink gins and pink cocktails; this year’s partner country of the festival was Slovenia, so alongside Croatian winemakers and olive growers, our neighbours also presented their products.
The festival’s guest was Elizabeth Gabay, MW, a Briton who came to Croatia at the invitation of the PINK DAY Zagreb festival and held two masterclasses on the rosé wines of Croatia and on the rosé wines of Kvarner. An engaging masterclass, “9 Iconic Rosés of Slovenia”, was led by the president of the Slovenian Sommelier Association, Valentin Bufolin, while the “home” guest from the USA, Mirena Bagur, executive director of the GLOBAL AVA organisation (The Global Artisan Vintners Alliance), an international organisation of 13 members – among them the USA, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, France, Portugal, Hungary and Croatia – presented rosé wines of the member countries. Josip Orišković held a workshop on the rosé sparkling wines of Hilly Croatia (Bregovita Hrvatska), and the educational and informative programme of the 13th Pink Day was brought to a close by cocktail mistress Katarina Brezarić, mixing pink cocktails.
PINK DAY Zagreb, as ever, celebrates still and sparkling rosé wines; extra virgin olive oils and pink cocktails; flowers, femininity, beauty, happiness, good cheer and spring, with hope for better days and a world without war. It is, in fact, by now a traditional springtime attempt to spend one day looking through rose-tinted glasses – a very important positivity that radiated through the entire atmosphere of the Festival.
