Around the World in 50 Vineyards is the title of the photography exhibition opened to mark the tenth anniversary of the Cite du Vin museum in Bordeaux. Among the fifty selected photographs of the world’s wine landscapes is Istria (Croatia’s north-westernmost wine region). The photograph is the work of Vinistra’s official photographer, better known by his artistic name Merlo De Graia. His work authentically conveys the character of the Istrian landscape, its vineyards and its people.
Working alongside the Vinistra association, Neven systematically documents the growth and international recognition of the Istrian wine scene and the beauty of Istria’s vineyard landscapes. It is precisely this long-standing dedication that has been distilled into an image which now, before an international audience, communicates the strength and singularity of Istria as a wine destination. The exhibition also marks a new stage in the cooperation between the Vinistra association and the Cite du Vin museum. The partnership was officially signed during Vinistra’s study trip to Bordeaux in 2024, marking the start of a strategic connection between Istria and one of the world’s most influential wine institutions.
