The Zagreb Salon Ensemble (Zagrebački salonski ansambl) will perform the Ball of Fame concert on Saturday, 13 December, at the Turopolje Hotel Dvorac Jurjevec in Lekenik. It is a long-neglected building, of which only a little was known from old records and maps, and today it is a four-star hotel with 24 rooms and a wellness zone. There one can also taste the products of the Lekenik region such as truffles or honey, so it also serves as an informal presentation centre for the tourist offerings of the Lekenik municipality. 
And so waltzes are played in the castle: Ball of Fame is a project that seeks to bring historic cultural heritage up to date, popularise classical dances and revive the traditional customs of good manners. It takes place in Croatian castles, manors and fortresses, so the Zagreb Salon Ensemble recently played at Medvedgrad too. On Saturday visitors will be able to dance the waltz to Strauss’s music, and refresh themselves with wines from the Kurtalj, Gregorić, Vrbanek and Trdenić wineries of the Bregovita Hrvatska wine region (the hilly uplands of continental Croatia). Tickets for this pre-Christmas musical and wine enchantment can be obtained through the Entrio system.
