The day has come, 22 November: Rizling Raj(n)ski opens at 6 PM, with Tomac & Bajda from Jaska and Bedekovich from Bedenica

The house of good wine Tomac & Bajda was born back in 1982, with the marriage of Tomo Tomac and Zvonimira Bajda. Since 1990 they have bottled their wines under their own Tomac & Bajda label. Among still wines they make the field blend Vila Barica, as well as Zeleni Silvanac, Rajnski Rizling and Sauvignon, and by the classic method they craft the fine white sparkling wine TomBa from Zeleni Silvanac and old Plešivica varieties.Wines from the Tomac & Bajda winery presented at the Rizling Raj(n)ski festival in Zagreb.

Sauvignon, Semillon, Kraljevina, Graševina, Manzoni, Tannat, Pinot Crni and Syrah grow in the vineyards of the Bedekovich winery from Bedenica near Sveti Ivan Zelina. It also makes Riesling under three labels: Bedekovich Riesling Brisk Eko, the fresher one; Prigora Riesling Brisk Eko, the riper one; and Zeroplus Riesling Multivintage Eko, amber in colour – a blend of wines from several vintages made from long-macerated grapes. The vineyards sit between 200 and 400 metres above sea level, are farmed organically, and the grapes are hand-picked.Organic Rieslings from the Bedekovich winery presented at the wine festival at Hotel Capital in Zagreb.

Both of these wineries will bring their wines to the second Rizling Raj(n)ski festival, which begins on 22 November at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Capital in central Zagreb, at Jurišićeva 22. There will be Riesling from five countries: Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia, Germany and Croatia. Last year was excellent; this year will be even better.
