The Rijeka City Red Cross Society prepares up to 1,500 meals a day for the homeless, soup-kitchen users and all those in need of help. Wine connoisseurs paid them a visit and joined in preparing the meals, continuing the charity project Danas za vas (Today, for you). Taking part were Anton Brusić, president of the Kvarner Wines Association and representative of the Gospoja winery, together with Toni Babić (Kapić vina), Darko Mandić (Mandić vina), Ivana Rubeša and Erik Stanić (Plovanić vina) and Ivica Dobrinčić (Šipun winery). They were joined by Assist. Prof. Žarko Stilin, PhD, director of the Kvarner Wines Association and ambassador of the Kvarner European Region of Gastronomy project, sommeliers Josip Orišković, Monika Neral and Lucija Matijević, and eno-gastro influencer Časlav Matijević, ambassadors of the Kvarner Wines brands and the Kvarner European Region of Gastronomy project.
We are extremely glad that the Kvarner Wines Association has become an active participant in the social life of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. We thank the Red Cross for the invitation, and we will always answer the call of such commendable projects, said Anton Brusić, president of the Kvarner Wines Association, thanking the Rijeka City Red Cross Society for the invitation and for the care it provides to those in need. The winemakers delighted their hosts with their positive energy, and together they did a good deed once again. A source of pride for all.
