Drnis prsut (dry-cured ham) is the pride of Drnis and its surrounding region, a mark of tradition and prestige, a product of exceptional quality with no additives, its only preservative being salt. In its honour, the people of Drnis and many tourists will gather on 29 and 30 August on Poljana Square in the town centre for the eighth edition of the International Prsut Festival Drnis 2025. This year visitors can look forward to two full days of first-rate entertainment, and alongside the prsut other distinctive local products will be on offer, such as pancetta, cheese, bread baked under the peka bell, olive oil and wine.
Klapa ensembles will perform on the main stage, and the second day brings a concert by Petar Dragojevic and special guest Marin Vrgoc, winner of the popular show The Voice Kids Hrvatska. Istria (Istria County) is a partner of this year’s festival, so colleagues from Croatia’s largest peninsula will come to Drnis as guests.
