Zagreb’s open-air wine festival Vinski grad (Wine City) takes over Trg dr. Franje Tudjmana from 24 June to 6 July. The wines are brought by the Slavonian wineries Enosophia, Galic, Josic, Kast, Markota, Martin Albus and Kutjevo; from Central Croatia come Iuris Winery, Kopjar, Kostanjevec, Kotolenko, Petrac, Podrum Mladina and Stampar; from Istria come Benvenuti, Cattunar, Deklic, Fakin, Marceta, Matic vina, Rossi distillery and Roxanich; and from Dalmatia, Delmati, Skaramuca and Vislander. The international line-up features Radgonske gorice and Simcic Marijan from Slovenia, Tikves from North Macedonia, Lillet from France and Astoria from Italy.
Visitors will also be able to sample cocktails at the Cocktails by Roto stand, with beer served by Erdinger and food by Mrav Burger, Medimursko pile, President cheese selection and Matic delicije. There will be creative Paint & Wine workshops, ceramics making, and the painting of wine glasses, bags and T-shirts. Places at the workshops can be secured on the Wine City website. 
On Thursday 26 June, Wine City hosts the Pile&Mile culinary workshop organised by Medimursko pile. The youngest guests are catered for with the Dukat Junior children’s corner, while the evenings bring lively musical programmes. Wine City is open daily from 5:30 p.m. to midnight, an hour longer on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry is free; you need only rent a glass wine goblet for five euros, and tastings at the wine stalls can be paid for by card only.
