For the third year in a row, users of Wolt, the delivery platform in Croatia, have chosen their favourite restaurants. In the largest cities there were changes at the top, and the public loves burgers and sandwiches. Good Food won first place last year in Zagreb, Split and Rijeka, and this year too it has stayed near the top. In the capital and on the Kvarner coast, Wolt users have slotted some new restaurants among the top three. In Zagreb, the best-rated restaurant in 2025 was .99, which specialises in sandwiches and smash burgers. It joined the Wolt platform last year and won over the palates of Zagreb with sandwiches that are anything but ordinary: they add ingredients such as ribeye steak and premium brioche buns. This award confirms to us that even a small restaurant, despite strong competition, can succeed thanks to a good team, quality, persistence and love for the work. We have been in business for two and a half years, this is our first award, and through our partnership with Wolt we strive to give customers a fast, reliable and consistent delivery experience, carefully choosing top ingredients for every dish, said Dominik Paška, owner of .99.
Burgers and fries are ordered most
The popularity of .99 is in line with new order data showing that last year Croatians ordered burgers most via Wolt — in combination with fries, no less; indeed, every third meal arrived in exactly that pairing.
Second place in Croatia’s capital went to Batak, and third to Good Food. That chain again took gold in Split in the eyes of users. For the first time, an Asian restaurant also made Split’s top three — Chinese Food — while Submarine Burger kept its place among the best. Last year the people of Rijeka ranked restaurants with oriental cuisine among the best rated, and from the same brand. Gold went to Taiyo Sushi and bronze to Dim Sun House by Taiyo, their new restaurant specialising in Japanese specialities. Second place went to the Good Food restaurant.
Osijek loves pancakes
“We are proud of this recognition and grateful to Wolt, our team and our guests who supported us. This is extra motivation for us to be even better,” said Massio Liao, owner of Taiyo.
A double podium was won by the Tvornica brand in Osijek. Tvornica – Food & Lounge came first in eastern Croatia, and the second is its “sweet” version, Slatka tvornica, with a rich offering of pancakes. Third in Osijek is X Pizza.
“This recognition confirms to us that effort, quality and consistency always pay off. Thanks to all our guests for their trust and to Wolt for the excellent partnership, and special thanks go to our team, without whom this would not be possible,” said Ivan Kordić, owner of Tvornica.
Wolt users in more than 35 Croatian cities had the chance to choose their favourite restaurants among those that have been available in the Wolt app for longer than six months.
