The Riesling fireworks begin today at Hotel Capital! Australian, New Zealand, South African and American wines at 5 p.m., and 12 archive wines from Croatia’s hill country (Bregovita Hrvatska), from 2020 back to 2002, at 7 p.m.

 

Riesling Around the World is a masterclass at Zagreb’s Hotel Capital at which sommelier and collector Krešimir Kožić will show what this variety yields in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the American states of Washington and New York. It begins at 5 p.m., with the wines tasted in the following order:

At 7 p.m. begins a stocktaking of the Rieslings of Croatia’s hill country (Bregovita Hrvatska) — a journey through time with 12 stops from four viticultural subregions, the vintages ranging between 2020 and 2002:
