The Cviček-mobil rides through the vineyards of Slovenia’s Trška Gora near Novo Mesto

Cviček is a traditional blend of red and white varieties from Slovenia’s Posavje wine region, with strictly prescribed proportions: 60 percent must be Žametna Črnina (Žametovka), 15 percent Frankovka, and the remainder Kraljevina, Žuti Plavec and Graševina. In the hands of good winemakers it is a pleasant, gentle, aromatic wine unburdened by alcohol. It carries around 10 percent, making it a real refreshment for warmer days. And a fine way of promoting Cviček is offered by Jure Matko, a former professional ski jumper who turned to tourism after his sporting career. The Cviček-mobil takes visitors through the vineyards of Trška Gora in Slovenia's Posavje wine region.

Searching for something new to offer, he came across an advertisement for the sale of an old van made by the IMV factory in Novo Mesto. He renovated this former fire-service vehicle and now organises four-hour tours through the beautiful vineyards of Trška Gora near Novo Mesto, during which everyone travelling in the Cviček-mobil can take part in vineyard activities that change with the season, learn about the local winemaking tradition and enjoy nature.A tasting of Cviček and local specialities during the wine tour through Trška Gora.

Since Cviček calls for something good to nibble on, tour participants are also offered refreshment at Zidanica Verček: heart-shaped sweet bread, Carniolan sausage, farm eggs, fried onion, fresh cheese, homemade curd, štruklji and potica. At Zidanica Škatlar, meanwhile, visitors receive a special souvenir of the destination: an empty wine bottle that each person, following the guidance of host Matjaž Pavlin, fills with their own, specially created Cviček. A renovated IMV van transformed into the eye-catching Cviček-mobil for wine tours in Slovenia.

The price of the Cviček-mobil tour is 79 euros per person, and the programme is tailored to guests’ wishes. One format is a birthday celebration. Prvi smo izbor informacija o vinima onima koji tek ulaze u vinski svijet, onima koji ga već smatraju svojim, onima koji u njemu istinski žive i onima koji ga stvaraju.
