Malvazija Matić 2025 is marked by pronounced varietal aromas in a recognisable style that emphasises freshness, purity and the authenticity of its terroir. This is a wine that successfully marries aromatic expressiveness with refined minerality, leaving the impression of precisely guided vinification, careful work in the vineyard and a perfectly judged harvest — the grapes were clearly very ripe, yet the precious acidity has been preserved.

In the glass it stands out with a clear, straw-yellow colour and a subtle greenish glint, characteristic of young wines. The visual impression also reveals a lovely density that hints at the structure to come.
The nose is clean, intense and layered. Notes of vineyard peach, apricot, ripe pear, apple and citrus open in the foreground, complemented by aromas of acacia and linden blossom. In the background come discreet tones of Mediterranean herbs and fresh almond, lending the wine additional complexity.

On the palate the wine feels dry, warm and very balanced. The freshness is pronounced, yet harmoniously woven into the whole. High extract keeps the well-integrated alcohol in check, giving the wine warmth without any burn. It is medium to full in body — somewhat atypical for fresh Malvazijas. The texture is smooth and rounded, without excess weight, and the finish is long, clean and elegant, with a gentle almond note lingering in the aftertaste.
This Malvazija is gastronomically very versatile: it will beautifully accompany white fish, shellfish and prawns, chicken with Mediterranean herbs, Istrian prosciutto and young to semi-hard cheeses. Serving at 9 to 11 °C is recommended, so that its aromatic and flavour qualities can express themselves fully.
