Wine Rarities of Austria and Archive Wines from Fine Austrian Cellars are the masterclasses that the association Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW – Austrian Traditional Wine Estates) has already prepared for the third edition of the business wine gathering Austrian Wine Meets Croatia 2026, at the Hotel Westin Zagreb on 26 February next year. It is the only event in Croatia entirely dedicated to Austrian wines, once again bringing together the finest Austrian wineries and a broad circle of professionals: from those in the HoReCa sector and distributors to wine bloggers, influencers and media.
Austrian wines are today among the most highly regarded in the world. They are recognisable for their precision, freshness and elegance, and regularly earn the highest scores from international wine critics. They feature on the wine lists of the most prestigious restaurants, and their relevance is continually growing on the Croatian market as well – especially those from varieties such as Grüner Veltliner (zeleni veltlinac), Riesling and Blaufränkisch (frankovka).
In February, the Westin will also host a walk-around tasting of Austrian wines that the winemakers will present in person, opening the door to direct conversations and the development of new collaborations. Participation is free, with mandatory registration by 24 February 2026 or until capacity is reached, given that the number of visitors is limited. The Masterclasses require additional registration. You can already register on the advantageaustria.org website.
