From lunch to dinner – that is, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. – on Friday and Saturday, on the last day of October and the first of November, Novigrad offers, in its little Mandrac harbour, the pleasure of Istrian sausages, ombolo and beef prepared in various ways, with tempting sides and sauces, home-made pasta and baked goods. There will be succulent burgers, seasonal mushroom dishes, pumpkin desserts, shellfish and fish specialities, brodetto and Adriatic squid. The dishes will be prepared on the spot by the teams of the Novigrad restaurants Porporela, Half 8, Kod Marice and Laco de Pelagius, together with the Russula Mycological and Mushroom Association, while the wines will be poured by Demark, Ghira, Moreno Ivancic, Pervino and Veralda. There will also be craft beers from Bura Brew and Bruman.
The musical programme will be a mix of DJ sets and live concerts, while a colourful entertainment programme in the spirit of Halloween awaits the youngest guests in the Park of Novigrad Fishermen, with animators from the Yellow Umbrella association. On Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. there will be a pumpkin-decorating workshop; more creative fun follows at Saturday’s workshop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., after which come competitive games such as broomstick races, flying bats, ghost hunts and mummy marathons.
