The Tourist Board of the Town of Sveti Ivan Zelina unveiled a new visual identity and its most significant tourist offerings at the Zelina Museum, and also produced a new promotional brochure and video. They describe the town as a weekend inspiration — an appealing, recognisable destination for a short break, with its most attractive offering built around time in nature and wine tourism. They say it is an ideal destination for shorter trips, accessible to visitors from the domestic and foreign markets and, indisputably, green. They add that the preservation of the boundless green hills and vistas has contributed to an unobtrusive touristic immersion in nature and created a blend that offers the unbearably hectic everyday an irreplaceable green calm, stronger than stress.
The secret is in the wine, and wine is also food, they continue, noting that Zelina’s vineyards are crowned by the Zelina Kraljevina and highlighting the wine exploration of this indigenous variety — from the klet (a traditional vineyard cottage), through old schools to modern wineries — as an unmissable feature for wine lovers and lovers of nature alike. Waves of vineyards are part of the authentic Zelina vista of vines, vineyards, hills and klet cottages shared with friends, they add. They presented the new visual identity, promotional brochure and video shortly after Zelina’s inclusion in the Green Destinations Top 100 Stories.
