We know that four Graševinas won Grand Gold — that is, 95 points or more — at the judging in May; which ones, we will find out at the Festival of Graševina on Friday, 6 June, at the Castle in Kutjevo. The well-known Kvarner sommelier Ines Matić Matešković will, at 12:30 p.m. in the Slavonian House Vinkomir, lead a journey through the top-rated wines and explain why these in particular rank first among the Graševinas. 
At Kutjevo Castle, from 2 to 4 p.m., there will be the awards ceremony for the best Graševinas and a presentation of the wines with finger food and the sound of the saxophone, and it will also be possible to taste the new vintages heading to market. In Ilok, meanwhile, in the Old Cellar of the Ilok Cellars, the 7th edition of the Festival of Traminac takes place on 7 June. The tireless Željko Garmaz brings Alsace’s biodynamic pioneers from the Domaine Marc Kreydenweiss winery, as well as Weingut Pranzegg from Bolzano in Italy’s Alto Adige region.
At the workshops from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., archival wines will also be opened, and there will be a comparison of Traminac from the warmer Slavonia and Danube region with those from the cooler Upland Croatia and Slovenia. From 5 to 10 p.m. there will be the Traminac Salon with around 20 exhibitors. On Saturday, in Daruvar’s Julije Park, Vinodar — begun the previous weekend — continues. Wines can be tasted from 10 a.m., and at noon Denis Vlahovac will present cocktails made with Daruvar wines.
In Topolje, a village in the Municipality of Draž, beside the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, the milestone 30th Baranja Bećarac will be held. It begins on Friday, 6 June, with a fair of local products at 5 p.m., followed by Wine and Tamburas, a presentation of wineries from the Croatian and Hungarian parts of Baranja. Saturday, in turn, brings the Festival of Tijesto (pasta) from 4 p.m. The pasta masters will offer lokšice, trganci, rezanci, zavezanci, čikovi, valjuški, taške, tarana and many other traditional Šokac and Bunjevac pasta dishes.
