The third edition of the only international festival of fruit brandies, liqueurs and fine spirits takes place on 7 and 8 November at Stil Event on the Zagreb Fairgrounds. Friday and Saturday at ZGrappa offer 500 outstanding spirits from more than 80 distilleries from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Costa Rica, Mexico and Italy, this year’s partner country. Beyond unlimited tastings of spirits from around the world, visitors will enjoy a diverse array of delicacies, hydrate with Cetina water, refresh with Kimbo coffee, and, in a dedicated zone, take in talks from the Havana Cigar shop Camelot.
The educational programme offers 10 talks, panels and masterclasses. Vrutak, the Croatian distributor and retail chain with an impressive spirits portfolio, will present Ron Centenario rum from Costa Rica and the grappa producer Sibona from Italy. ALCA, one of the leading distributors of premium spirits and food products, brings two intriguing talks: Mexican agave spirits with Marko Markota and cocktails built on indigenous Croatian products with Marin Nekic.
The Italian Trade Agency in Zagreb brings distillate expert Leonardo Pinto to ZGrappa, who will speak on the craft of distilling spirits and on the culture and history of cult Italian liqueurs such as amaro, limoncello, rosolio, sambuca and vermouth. Bar Italiano will be a special stand devoted to top Italian distilleries. ZGrappa will also address the role of ice and of traditional fruit brandies in sophisticated cocktails. For a safe ride home, WIZI offers a 20 percent discount for trips to and from the venue between 1 and 10 pm. Tickets are available through the Entrio.hr system.
