If wine alone were the cost of the non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages line in the Procurement Plan of the Presidential Office for 2026, Pantovcak would drink 1,000 bottles of good wine. Not excellent, just good. Over the course of a year. Some have written that this is a lot, but one should know that the sum is also meant for buying bottled water and juices, as well as beer or spirits, should the President’s guests wish for them, because it is certainly not for the staff. There is also another line for water, the kind you drink from gallon jugs, probably dispensers. On it they will spend 12,000 euros, and it will be drunk by the Office’s officials.
The same sum as for non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages is planned for computers and computer equipment. That does not mean drinks are a lot, but rather, presumably, that everyone recently received new computers. Almost 10 times more than drinks will be spent on the procurement and delivery of fresh-cut flowers. A little more, 15,000 euros, will go on fish, crustaceans and products of the sea and other waters and on the procurement and installation of a steel fence and posts on the existing parapet. Half as much as for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is planned for coffee and tea, bread and bakery products, flags, photographic equipment…
