This complex, harmonious wine made from Zeleni Silvanac (Grüner Silvaner) and Grasevina (Welschriesling) shows a deep golden-yellow colour and noticeable density. The nose is layered, led by aromas of white fruit, vineyard peach and tropical fruit, with pleasant citrus and nutty notes emerging from the background. The palate is refined, warm and soft, with plenty of richness that rounds the wine out further. A mineral acidity and very discreet tannins, drawn from a quality 500-litre cask, hold it in balance.
The nose and palate reveal a background touch of oak that has brought the wine additional complexity without weighing it down. It is medium- to full-bodied, with a creamy texture, a long palate and a memorable finish. It will pair beautifully with risottos and pasta with meat, chicken in a mushroom-and-cream sauce, and roasted river fish.
