Posip Pod Korita 2023 is a great wine from the small Pecotic Baran winery for 10 euros

Although young and relatively small producers, Slavica and Zeljko Pecotic from Smokvica lag behind the established Korcula winemakers in nothing when it comes to quality. On the contrary, they can boast an exceptional Posip (the island of Korcula’s flagship white variety in Dalmatia) that clearly expresses the loveliest characteristics of this great grape.A bottle of Posip Pod Korita 2023 from the Pecotic Baran winery.

Posip Pod Korita 2023 is a deep golden yellow of medium density. The nose is clean, focused and of moderate intensity. Aromas of yellow fruit dominate, with a touch of tropical notes, while in a second wave the floral scents of Mediterranean herbs emerge unobtrusively. The palate follows the aromatic components. The wine is warm, juicy and soft, with a pronounced mineral freshness that holds it in perfect balance, while its high extract carries the 12.5 percent alcohol with ease. The vineyards in Smokvica from which Posip Pod Korita 2023 comes.A glass of golden-yellow Posip served with Dalmatian specialities and seafood.

The wine is named after its vineyard site. It is fully developed and highly versatile at the table. It covers a broad range of dishes, from seafood salads, shellfish and white fish, through various risottos, to roast veal and pork. Its excellent value for money deserves a mention too: at the winery it costs just 10 euros. In Zagreb it can be found at the Wine & More wine shop.
