After two successful editions, the Dunav Wine Festival returns to one of the most beautiful wine settings in eastern Croatia. On Friday, 9 October 2026, starting at 18:00, Principovac above Ilok will once again gather producers and wine lovers under the stars.

At the heart of the Dunav Wine Festival this year too are the wines of Slavonia and the Croatian Danube region. Producers will present selected wines from their cellars, different varieties and styles, with a special place for graševina, the most widely planted white variety in Croatia.

From the very beginning, though, the Dunav Wine Festival was never conceived only as a place to taste wine. In just two editions it has built a recognisable story and become a byword for a relaxed autumn evening at one of the most attractive locations in Ilok, with wine, food, music and good company. The value of that concept was recognised with the Suncokret ruralnog turizma award, which the Dunav Wine Festival won in 2025 in the category of gastronomic events.

The third edition continues to build that festival experience, bringing producers and visitors together in a place that has been living its wine tradition for generations. This year’s offer will be accompanied by the specialities and the familiar flavours of Slavonia and Srijem, while DJ Andy Boy will take care of the music and the dancing.

This year the Dunav Wine Festival is part of an international programme held in Ilok from 8 to 10 October, within the conference and Assembly of the ITER VITIS European cultural route. On 9 October, from 19:00 to 20:00, Principovac will host the ITER VITIS AWARD ceremony, after which the evening continues in festival rhythm.
The festival is organised by Graševina Croatica, in cooperation with the Tourist Board of Vukovar-Srijem County and the Croatian association for tourism and rural development Klub članova Selo.
